Adam Lambert's French Kiss
"Gypsy" stands out because Shakira exudes vulnerability and sensuality in the simplicity of the music."Good Stuff" and "Give It Up To Me" have crossover appeal with a touch of urban and hip-hop."Men In This Town" has an interesting instrumental backing, sounding slightly electronic jordan 11, and an interesting breakdown that has Shakira doing a small little rap..
She Wolf Review
Shakira's voice is not as strong on this album new jordan 2011, perhaps because she is attempting to reach different audiences and attempting new vibes. She does not seem to put a lot of effort musically into some of the songs, giving the impression that she never connects to some of these songs.
Shakira's vocals are true to her name and the addition of new concepts create a whole new world for the Colombian singing star in She Wolf. The album mixes all the world sounds that we are used to from Shakira Jordan Flights 45 High, including some from India, the Middle East and Colombia. She Wolf features a predominantly English track list with a follow up album of new and unique repertoire in Spanish to come in 2010.
The title track and most popular song "She-Wolf", featured three times, is the headliner on this album. Its strength is the pulsating, rump-shaking sound that made Shakira a prodigy all the way back in 2001. In her newest album Shakira shows the ability to be successful with the dance- electronic beat that is becoming the norm for pop stars.
Shakira Album Review
While most tracks on the upcoming album will be in English, Shakira chose to utilize the Spanish version of the first single "Loba", most likely to add another dimension to the album.
The addition of Lil' Wayne, Kid Cudi, and Wyclef Jean was a move for the future and will cast her appeal to wider audiences around the world as her career continues. Whether those hip-hop artists were used in the correct way is certainly up for debate. None of the songs that were featured in were in their wheelhouse.
Shakira seemed to challenge herself to accomplish new concepts in this album and she has tepid success. That is the main bright spot. Instead of trying to pull off a sound and album she's already done, She Wolf conveys a laid back and light sound that also keeps the listener's hips moving.
In conclusion, She Wolf is an album that feels slightly rushed and though Shakira exerts new sounds and concepts, the singing and vocals on most of the tracks feel weak for a sensation like Shakira. Hopefully, this album will only help her future endeavors.
Another weakness is that it feels like there isn't much to this album. She Wolf appears three times; album version, live and a Spanish version. The song is catchy but she could have used the album space to add another unique song or two. The overabundance of this particular song brings the album down a notch.
The strength of She Wolf is Shakira trying new styles and sounds. As her skills continue to progress, not only will her style and appeal grow so will her world following.
Now that Shakira is a household name, it is the perfect time in her career to shine and while she does not quite deliver an all-star performance in her new album She Wolf, there is reason for hope. The album was released on November 20th in the United States.
