China Unicom (CHU.NYSE; 600050.SH; 00762.HK) and Suning Corp.,Data convention outsourcing, China‘s leading household appliances chain retailer, announced on Thursday they are to cooperate on phone services.
China Unicom has authorized Suning to act as agent to sell its 3G, 2G, broadband access, and fixed-phone services, and Suning will set up special zones for selling terminal products and offering services of the carrier in all stores across China.
According to the agreement between China Unicom and Suning,health care outsourcing, they will launch comprehensive cooperation in service outlet establishment, 3G terminal product sales,hospitality solution, service management, and market promotion.
Chang Xiaobing, president of China Unicom,Call centre outsourcing, said that the telecom operator has established partnerships with many of China‘s household appliance chain retailers,healthcare outsourcing, cell phone chain retailers, and IT product chain retailers, and there are over 20,000 service outlets offering its 3G services.
According to Suning president Zhang Jindong, 3G will be a key field for Suning to expand its business, and it is a new trend for household appliance retailers to cooperate with telecom operators. |
