-Ray has emerged victorious in the battle for high definition supremacy, and has now set its sights on the portable DVD player market, but has it come too late to make a real impact?

At this time Blu-Ray has yet to make a significant mark on the world of portable DVD players and there are several key reasons for this.
1. Image Quality: Matters far less on a small screen. Blu-Ray is meant to enhance the movie watching experience by providing High Definition Video. 3. Card Ports: Many consumers want the ability to take the SD cards straight from their cameras and insert them into their portable player so that they are able to share home videos and pictures on a larger screen.
