Panasonic DMP-BD35 is their next generation entry level Blu-ray player. It carries Profile 2.0 and is BD-Live compatible. It has an ethernet socket for being able to access online content and to receive updates of its firmware as and when they are released by Panasonic [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but you will need to use the SD card slot to add memory for disc specific content and BD-Java applications.
Inside the DMP-BD35 you will find Panasonic's picture processor, PHL Reference Chroma Processor Plus. This enables the player to output a Blu-ray signal of 1080p/24fps and is also compatible with DVD's that are formatted in 24fps when they are available because as yet they are not [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but they must be on their way as why else would Panasonic include this? This player is also the first to be equipped with this from any manufacturer.
Soundwise the DMP-BD35 can decode all formats and output them as LPCM over HDMI. This produces HD audio that is clear and open highlighting it's dynamic strengths.
The Panasonic's picture will leave you stunned. It paints a glorious and punchy Blu-ray picture with copious amounts of detail. Upscaling is not a problem for the DMP-BD35 either [link widoczny dla zalogowanych], treating you to a picture of quality that is detailed and sharply defined and of a player worth more than its recommended retail price of £220.
To summarise, this is a player with scintillating playback, dynamic sound and is easy to use which makes it a very hard Blu-ray player to beat for its price.
