h so many people doing nothing to either start up or maintain a fitness lifestyle, it seems almost absurd to talk about setting limits. After all, anything should be better than nothing to get people from ground zero to a healthy way of training.
Nevertheless, overdoing it can cause trouble. That is why one cannot tell his or her MD about a new desire to supplement, diet and exercise without getting a raised eyebrow. This is because of the medical profession's belief that all of their patients will be driven to overexert themselves at whatever they undertake.
The general feeling after talking with MDs is that a rigorous fitness lifestyle should have been outgrown prior to graduation from high school. That was a time in which wild oats ought to have been sown, as some of them still say. Therefore, over thirty adults who are just now starting to get with it are suspected of being in kind of second child hood. Those experiences most often result in an early withdrawal from a program founded upon the best of intentions.
What this should suggest is that one needs to be extremely cautious when starting out.
